Itaewon Korean supermarket opening at Castle Quarter
Itaewon, a new Korean supermarket owned by the same owners as Moya Bubble Tea, will soon be opening in Norwich. The supermarket will be located on the lower floor of Castle Quarter, opposite the Starbucks on level one. Itaewon is described as the “youthful and vibrant heart of Korean cuisine,” offering ingredients for popular dishes such as kimchi, bibimbap, and tteokbokki. In addition to ingredients, the supermarket will also sell a selection of Korean snacks and drinks from a self-service bar.
One unique feature of Itaewon will be the instant ramen bar, which will offer “quick and customizable” takeaway meals, a feature that is a first for Norwich. Rob Bradley, the manager of Castle Quarter, expressed excitement about Itaewon joining the shopping center, stating that it is another great independent brand that adds to the vibrant social, leisure, and lifestyle mix of the area. He emphasized that the shopping center is always looking for stores and leisure offerings that bring something unique and exciting to Castle Quarter and Norwich as a whole, making Itaewon a fantastic example of experiential shopping.
Itaewon will join its sister business, Moya, in the city shopping center, and an official opening date has not yet been set. Overall, Itaewon is expected to offer a new and unique shopping experience for customers, allowing them to explore Korean cuisine and culture in Norwich. With its selection of ingredients, snacks, drinks, and the instant ramen bar, Itaewon aims to bring the vibrant heart of Korean cuisine to the city, providing an exciting addition to the shopping and leisure offerings in Castle Quarter.
