Five new shops, restaurants and bars coming to Norwich

In Norwich, several new and exciting dining establishments are set to open soon. The first is Slice on the Lanes, a pizza and dessert spot that is being launched by Jeff Taylor, the owner of popular burger kitchen The Bun Exchange. The restaurant will focus on serving slices of pizza and other delicious sweet treats, with an emphasis on great food at great value. The opening date for this new establishment has yet to be announced.

Another new addition to the Norwich dining scene will be a Korean-style takeaway, which will replace the closed-down Orford Plaice chippy. This new takeaway is the brainchild of the owners of the popular city centre Korean restaurant Kimchi. While construction is already underway, an opening date has not been revealed yet.

In addition to these new eateries, a bubble tea shop called Lightea is hoping to open in the former Nanna Mexico site on White Lion Street. As the city’s popularity for bubble tea increases, this will become the fifth bubble tea shop in the city centre. The Mexican restaurant that previously occupied the space closed down in August 2021 and has remained vacant since.

Beer enthusiasts will also have something to look forward to with the opening of Bier Draak. This new bar is an expansion of the beloved Norwich Market stall, Sir Toby’s Beer. Bier Draak will specialize in Belgian and German beer and will offer a selection of draught beer and bottled options. To complement the beers, the bar will also serve a variety of cold meats and cheeses. It will be located at 42 King Street.

Lastly, the popular Norwich Market stall that sells all things Norwich City is moving to a new home at the Forum. This stall raises funds for Norwich City’s Community Sports Foundation and will now have more space to display their stock. The stall offers various items related to Norwich City, including match kits from the 2021-2022 season and other unique memorabilia.

Overall, Norwich residents and visitors can look forward to a diverse range of new dining options in the near future. Whether it’s enjoying a slice of pizza, indulging in Korean cuisine, sipping on bubble tea, or exploring the world of Belgian and German beers, there will be something to satisfy every palate. Furthermore, fans of Norwich City can continue to support their team and find unique memorabilia at the new location of the Norwich City-themed stall.
