First three Discovery Hubs open in Broads National Park
Designed and constructed by charity the Broads Trust, the first three hubs are located in Great Yarmouth and Salhouse Broad in Norfolk and Beccles Quayside in Suffolk.

They each provide information for visitors and locals, highlighting the best ways to explore the region – on foot, by bike and on the water.
Peter Howe, a trustee of The Broads Charitable Trust, said: “Our vision is to create a network of Discovery Hubs, which will all be linked by footpaths, cycle routes and waterways, that will help to publicise the Broads as one of the most sustainable destinations in the UK.

“We are currently raising funds in the hope that these three hubs will be the first of at least 20 that will be constructed in the next three years.”
They have been created with funding from Norfolk County Council, Visit Great Yarmouth, the Broads Authority, Suffolk County Council and several local charities.
Richardsons Leisure Limited is the launch partner and lead sponsor and it is providing significant funding in a three-year sponsorship deal, including for the position of a ranger who will maintain the hubs.
