Bread Source bakery opens at The Dial House in Reepham

Bread Source has opened a new café at The Dial House in Reepham, which has recently been taken over by new owners, James and Tom Ellis, alongside Steven Winter, founder of Bread Source. The venue reopened after a short period of refurbishment and attracted roughly 300 customers on its opening day. Tom Ellis expressed a desire to become an active part of the community and to build a business that is loved by the locals and attracts visitors to the town. The new café at The Dial House further expands Bread Source’s presence in Norfolk, adding to its seven other branches in Norwich and Aylsham. Mr. Winter, who started selling his bread in Reepham Market Place more than 10 years ago, expressed fondness for the town and a sense of coming home.

The Dial House is not only home to the new Bread Source café, but also features eight bedrooms being used as a bed and breakfast. The trio of owners have further plans to open a restaurant at the venue in the new year. Mr. Winter stated that careful thought has been put into making the best of the iconic building, with the goal of ensuring that The Dial House becomes a buzzing and thriving business in the heart of the market town. The positive impact of their new café in Aylsham almost two years ago, on the town’s visitors and footfall, has bolstered their hopes that they will have the same success in Reepham.

The new café at The Dial House marks a special occasion for the Ellis brothers, as it is a place that has had special meaning for them over the years. The opening day attracted a large number of customers, indicating a positive start for their venture. The café offers a range of items, including pastries, sandwiches, and other savoury offerings. With its prime location and history as a beloved venue, The Dial House has the potential to become a cherished spot for locals and visitors alike. The trio of owners expressed a desire to create a space that brings joy and positive experiences to the community, which aligns with their history of success in other locations. Their plans to open a restaurant in the new year will further establish The Dial House as a destination in Reepham.
