Sandringham charity walk for CAP King’s Lynn Debt Centre
Families and individuals from across West Norfolk are being encouraged to join a sponsored walk at the Sandringham Estate on July 21, to raise money for the Christians Against Poverty King’s Lynn Debt Centre as it supports those in financial difficulty.
The CAP Sponsored Walk will take place on Saturday, July 21 around the beautiful surroundings of the Sandringham Estate.
There is a short walk for families with little children and a longer walk for fast and average paced walkers. Everyone is invited to bring a picnic and, following the walk, stay and eat together. There will be free face painting for children.
The CAP King’s Lynn Debt Centre has been running in partnership with Churches Together in Kings Lynn for over two years, practically helping those weighed down by debt. Over the last 12 months the service has seen an increase in the amount of people needing their help and has constantly been running at a full waiting list.
Emily Hart, the Centre Manager for the King’s Lynn CAP Debt Centre said: “The money raised from the sponsored walk will go to support CAP King’s Lynn locally to continue to be able to provide a free debt counselling program to people in King’s Lynn and the surrounding areas.
“We are going to those who desperately need help. There are so many people that need our help. We just need your help.”
The Family Walk starts at 10.30am and covers approximately one mile around the sculpture trail.
The Distance Walk starts at 11am following Sandringham’s yellow nature trail which is around 4.2km long. There will be two paced groups for fast walkers and average walkers.
Registration opens at 10am meeting at the CAP Tents just outside the children’s play area.
