Fast-pedalling curate covers 33 churches in a day
Angela Rayner, curate at King’s Lynn Minster, cycled to dozens of churches in one day to raise funds for Norfolk Churches Trust and the Minster.
The journey of roughly 50 miles took in the Woottons, Castle Rising, Babingley, West Newton, Sandringham, Dersingham, Ingoldisthorpe, Snettisham, Heacham Hunstanton, Old Hunstanton and Gaywood.
She said it was a “slightly mad idea” in order to make up some of the funds lost due to cancelled events such as Lynn’s Heritage Open Day and fêtes.
She was often taking on the challenge completely alone due to many of the churches being “off the beaten track”.
She has passed her original target of £1,000, but late sponsors would be much appreciated.
