Inspiring organ concerts at Cromer Church

Cromer Parish Church have announced their summer season of organ recitals, and everyone is welcome to come along, free of charge.

The Summer Organ Recitals at Cromer Parish Church are returning this year after a break of four years. This will be the 135th annual series which testifies to the on-going importance of music in the church.

This year’s line-up is comprised mainly of Norfolk-based organists, and includes a number of younger players to showcase some up-and-coming talent.  All the recitalists will include some well-known and popular pieces in their programme, so everyone is encouraged to come along and enjoy these evenings.

The organ in Cromer Church is considered to be a magnificent, four-manual pipe organ which is well-known throughout Norfolk and beyond.

Tim Moon, a retired music teacher and one of the volunteer organists at Cromer Church, said “I have been tasked with organising the summer organ recitals which are being re-launched this year after a break of 4 years due to Covid and its aftermath. This will be the 135th annual series and we are proud of this achievement.”
