BeachLife outreach ready to return to Sheringham

Get ready for an unforgettable experience at the Sheringham BeachLife activity week, happening at the end of August! This exciting event is organized by the churches in Sheringham and promises to be an absolute blast for the entire family. The BeachLife team has been working tirelessly to bring together an amazing lineup of games, activities, and teaching that will engage and inspire local children and young people, as well as holidaymakers who come to join in on the fun. With a focus on outreach and sharing the message of Jesus, this event has been a highlight of the summer calendar since 2012, and this year is shaping up to be the best one yet!

The fun will kick off each day at 10:30 am with the Beach Special at the clifftop marquee on The Leas. Imagine a morning filled with challenges, drama, music, and even a gunge tank – it’s going to be an exhilarating experience! The young people will then break off into their age-related “Going Deeper” groups to delve deeper into the day’s theme and learn more about Jesus. These groups are designed to be a safe and supportive space for young people to ask questions, share their thoughts, and learn from each other. With a team of experienced and passionate leaders, the “Going Deeper” groups are always a highlight of the BeachLife experience.

Throughout the week, there will be a wide range of activities to enjoy, including creating sculptures on the beach, swimming at The Reef, and playing games and sports on the beach. One of the most exciting events is the tide fight, where family groups will compete to see whose flag can withstand the waves the longest! The 4 Front Theatre company will also be performing on Thursday afternoon, and the “Sheropoly” youth trail around Sheringham will take place in the evening, starting from Lighthouse Community Church. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Sheringham, there’s something for everyone at BeachLife.

The organizers of BeachLife are passionate about creating a fun and welcoming environment where young people can come and experience the love and message of Jesus. As Pete Skivington, the organizer, said, “This is a great opportunity for the churches in Sheringham to get together to provide an exciting fun-packed week for local families and young people, as well as for the holidaymakers who come along and join in. In the midst of all the activities, we want the youngsters to engage with Jesus and realize how He can transform their lives.” With a focus on community, outreach, and spiritual growth, BeachLife is an event that truly has something for everyone.

The Sheringham BeachLife activity week will run from Tuesday 26 to Friday 29 August, and registration will take place each day from 10:15 am at the marquee on The Leas.
