Residents of Snettisham have come together to create a beautiful display of handmade poppies outside St Mary’s church to honor Remembrance Day and the 100th anniversary of the Snettisham Royal British Legion. Organized by June Barrett, villagers of all ages were encouraged to make a poppy in memory of a loved one, with one specifically dedicated to a soldier who served in the Norfolk Regiment. The response was overwhelming, with children as young as six and adults up to 90 participating in creating the poppies, showcasing a strong community spirit.
A total of over 2,000 poppies were made for the display, with contributions coming from various community groups such as the Snettisham Girlguiding and Scout groups.
