Prolific Christian author at N Norfolk coffee event

Rev. Patrick Coghlan, a Baptist minister and author, along with artist Robert Gay, singer/songwriter Marilyn Baker, and author Tracy Williamson, will be participating in an event at Worstead Baptist Church in Meeting Hill next month. Patrick, who is the minister at the Meeting Hill chapel and the counselling manager of ACT Counselling Services in Aylsham, has published 41 Christian resources and family novels. His books will be on display and available for purchase at the event, with many of them being offered at reduced prices. Patrick, who is still writing books in his seventieth year, is preparing to publish his 42nd book next year, which will be a personal resource for Advent containing mindfulness exercises, meditations, prayer resources, journaling suggestions, Bible references, and scripture quotations.

Patrick’s love for writing began with his first published book in 2001, ‘Anytime, Chats with God,’ a book about informal prayer. He has no plans of stopping anytime soon and hopes to continue writing even more books in the future. His two most recent publications include ‘Rooted in God,’ a personal resource based on some Psalms, and ‘Crazy About Horses,’ a novel geared towards teens and adults set in Norfolk and focused on horse-related themes. Local artist Robert Gay will also be displaying his paintings and cards for sale at the event, in addition to Marilyn Baker and Tracy Williamson who will be selling their CDs and books while Marilyn performs some of her songs.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 30th, from 9:30am to 12:30pm at Worstead Baptist Church in Meeting Hill. Teas, coffees, cakes, and other light refreshments will be available starting at 10:00am in the old school room behind the church. The event is free of charge for entry, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet and chat with the various participants. For further details about the event, interested individuals can contact Rev. Patrick Coghlan via email or phone.
