Elvis Price guilty of Norwich GBH on ex-soldier

Teenager Elvis Price, 18, was found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) after stabbing a former soldier multiple times in Bury Road, Thetford, Norfolk on March 10. Price was also convicted of having an article with a blade or point, but was found not guilty of attempted murder. A second defendant, aged 17, who cannot be named due to his age, was found not guilty of attempted murder and causing GBH with intent.

The ex-serviceman, in his 30s, was left with serious injuries after the attack carried out by Price. The incident shocked the community and led to a manhunt for the teenager, who went on the run following the stabbing. The jury at Norwich Crown Court deliberated the evidence presented in court and reached a verdict on the charges against Price and the second defendant.

The court heard details of the attack, which left the victim hospitalized and in need of medical treatment for his injuries. The jury’s decision to find Price guilty of GBH and possessing an article with a blade or point reflects the severity of the crime and the impact it had on the victim and the community. The not guilty verdict on the charge of attempted murder indicates that the jury did not find sufficient evidence to prove Price’s intent to kill.

The case highlights the importance of holding individuals accountable for violent crimes and the need for justice to be served. The guilty verdict against Price serves as a reminder of the consequences of carrying out violent acts and the impact it can have on the victims and their families. The trial also underscores the role of the criminal justice system in ensuring that perpetrators of such crimes are held responsible for their actions and face the appropriate legal consequences.
