Ashill church celebrates debt help anniversary

The Fountain of Life Network Church in Ashill is inviting all to join them in celebrating the ten-year anniversary of the Mid Norfolk Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Debt Centre. The event will take place during their morning service on Sunday, October 20th, with guest speaker Lorraine Papaioannou, CAP Region Leader – East of England & Midlands. The church has been partnering with the national charity to help free local households from the burden of unmanageable debt, allowing families to break free from fear, fuel and food poverty, and mental health instability.

The Debt Centre has been instrumental in assisting households in starting their journey out of debt by helping them understand their options and choose the best route to becoming debt-free. The church acknowledges that asking for help can be daunting, but it is the crucial first step towards financial freedom. Attendees at the service will learn more about the center’s work over the past decade and the impact it has had on people’s lives. Coffee, tea, and cake will be served after the service, providing an opportunity for individuals to speak to the Region Leader and those involved in running the Centre.

The celebration will take place at The Well Christian Centre on Swaffham Road in Ashill, with the service starting at 10 am. For more information on how to receive help with household debt, individuals can visit capuk.org or call 0800 328 0006. Those with church-related news stories or events in Mid Norfolk are encouraged to email details to [email protected], along with a suitable picture. This event serves as a testament to the positive impact the Mid Norfolk CAP Debt Centre has had on the community over the last ten years and highlights the importance of addressing and overcoming financial challenges with support and guidance.
