New beach outreach for Cromer youth

Headlight is a new youth group that meets on Cromer beach, welcoming young people between the ages of 11 and 16. The group has been meeting on the last Friday of every month during the summer at the beach outside Glide Surf School, engaging in activities such as team building, water games, beach games, and surfing. Adam Masters, who runs the group, was inspired by a vision from God to create a place where young people from all backgrounds could come together, make friends, have fun, and learn how to shine the light of Jesus to others. The group has grown throughout the summer, with an average of 20 young people and 13 team leaders attending each session.

During the evening activities, a cafe ministry has been established for parents to get involved with Headlight, providing a time of fellowship while enjoying free tea or coffee made by the team leaders. The group concludes each evening at the White-Water Café, with hot chocolate and delicious flapjacks made by Adam’s mum. Adam also delivers a short message encouraging the young people to be witnesses of God’s light in their lives and to those around them. The last beach evening of the season is on Friday, September 27th, with a free surf lesson planned for those in attendance. The group will continue until December before restarting in April 2025.

Adam expressed his excitement for the future of Headlight, sharing how parents have been grateful for the impact the group has had on their children. He is thrilled to see how God will continue to use Headlight to bless others. The group has been blessed with support from the White-Water Café, who have provided their facilities for the gatherings. Headlight aims to provide a space for young people to come together in a welcoming and inclusive environment, regardless of their faith background, to build friendships, have fun, and learn more about how they can share God’s light with others. In conclusion, Headlight has provided a valuable opportunity for young people in Cromer to come together, have fun, and learn more about their faith while making new friends. The group has seen growth throughout the summer months, with an average of 20 young people and 13 team leaders attending each session. With a vision to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all young people, regardless of their faith background, Headlight aims to continue spreading God’s light and blessing others in the future. Adam Masters, the founder of Headlight, is excited to see where the group will go and how it will continue to impact the community in the coming years.
