Sheringham Methodists highlight climate change
St Andrew’s Methodist Church in Sheringham will be hosting a weekend in October focussing on Climate change, and all are invited to take part. Tony Rothe reports.
The event, called ‘Whose World? (The Challenge of Climate Change)’ will feature a community exhibition including pictures, posters, collage, models using recycled materials, creative writing, prose, poetry etc. St Andrew’s is inviting groups and individuals to be part of that exhibition. It is also hoped to hold a forum and discussion on the Saturday afternoon.
Jean Parton, one of the organisers, said “If you have a passion for climate change, this could be your opportunity to express that in a creative way. Alternatively, you might feel able to assist with the setting up of the exhibition.”
Refreshments will be available throughout the event, and there will be a Fairtrade stall, with all profits going to Transform Trade.
The Climate Change weekend will take place on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 October. St Andrews is on Cromer Road in Sheringham, NR26 8SA.
