Georgie and Robbyn Carman to launch Carman’s Studio
Carman’s Studio, located in Dixon’s Fold, will be operated by sisters Georgie and Robbyn Carman and will begin serving clients starting tomorrow. Georgie Carman, 26, will be in charge of the beauty side of the business and has four years of experience in the industry, with the last two years spent managing a salon in the city center. Robbyn, 24, will oversee the hair aspects of the salon and has nine years of experience as a hairdresser, working her way up from being an apprentice to becoming a Wella Master Colour Expert at degree level.
The studio, situated in Dixon’s Fold, Old Catton, will be a family-run business and has been named after their family surname, Carman. The sisters expressed their excitement for creating a salon with a difference, aiming to offer a range of luxury experiences within the hair and beauty industry. They also want to establish a community for their clients, aiming to make them look good on the outside and feel good on the inside. The sisters believe that their family name will always be associated with the business, even as their individual surnames may change one day.
Georgie Carman, who has been managing a salon in the city center for the past two years, will be responsible for the beauty side of Carman’s Studio. On the other hand, Robbyn Carman, who has worked as a hairdresser for nine years and achieved the status of a Wella Master Colour Expert at degree level, will lead the hair aspects of the salon. The sisters shared their joint statement about their ambitions for the salon, expressing their desire to create a unique and luxurious experience for their clients, while also fostering a sense of community and wellbeing. They hope to combine their expertise and passion for the industry to make Carman’s Studio stand out in the hair and beauty market.
