The increase in sign-ups indicates the continued need for the store’s services.
Despite hearing many stories of hardship, Katherine and her team of volunteers find joy in being able to help people feel happier and more secure. The store frequently gives away free bread, fruit, vegetables, and even flowers, showing their commitment to supporting the community. The store’s location at the Peggotty Road Community Centre and its adjusted Wednesday hours from 3pm to 5pm aim to make it more accessible to those in need.
