Sheringham Methodists say it with flowers
St Andrews Methodist Church in Sheringham are eagerly anticipating the return of their popular flower festival later this month, which will be open to all. Tony Rothe reports.
The event will run from Friday 19 May to Sunday 21 May, but will not be on quite the mammoth scale of the flower festivals before the pandemic.
The sanctuary will be filled with floral displays depicting ‘A Year in Flowers’. Stalls and refreshments will be available. There is no charge for admission but donations received will be for Sheringham Stroke Support Group and St Andrews Church funds.
The festival will be open on the Friday and Saturday from 10am to 4.30pm, and on the Sunday from 12noon to 4.30pm followed by a ‘Festival Praise’ at 5pm led by Revd Sharon Thraves.
It is also intended to hold a second Flower Festival during the weekend of Friday 29 September to Sunday 1 October. This is expected to follow a harvest theme.
