Bonnie, 23, is struggling to come to terms with the news saying: “It makes me cry if anyone asks how I’m doing.
“He’s my rock and the kids – who lost their dad last year – adore him.
“He’d been rushed to the N&N a few weeks prior with kidney pain and a CT scan picked up a 13cm mass there.
“An operation is planned for September but it’s just to give him some more time with us – it’s not a cure.
“The odds of even surviving the operation are 50/50.
“I know no one ever is, but I’m not ready to lose my dad.”
A GoFundMe has been set up with the money going towards the family making memories together while Mr Mayhew is still with them.
Bonnie added: “My dad lives for his children and his grandchildren especially.
“They’re all that keeps him going and it would mean the world to him if we could raise some money so that we can go away, somewhere like Legoland or Chessington, with them.

“Just anywhere which will help us forget about the horrible ‘C’ word for just a little while, but we just can’t afford to right now.
“I wanted him to give me away on my wedding day but it doesn’t look like that will be happening now.
“Dad has the biggest heart and would do anything for people, so I just want to make sure the life he has left is full of fun, making magical memories while he’s still physically able to.”
