One Cup or Two coffee shop costessey new outdoor area
Simon Kindleysides opened the coffee shop, One Cup or Two in Costessey just seven months ago and it has proved to be very popular with queues out the door some days.
Despite his health issues, Simon has been building on his business at rapid speed, the Blofield man was diagnosed with functional neurological disorder and a glioma brain tumour in 2013 leaving him paralysed from the waist down.
In the seven months he has been there, Simon already opened a second room for customers and now, just in time for people to enjoy the hotter weather, he has opened an outside area which he hopes will allow people to feel like they are on their holidays.
He said: “We have been working on the outside area for three months.
“My landlord was kind enough to give me some outside space as I often found I was being asked if I had outdoor seating.
“We are so busy all the time this seating has given us 25 more covers for the coffee shop.”

Simon has created his wonderland by using reclaimed wood from a nearby barn conversion as well as pallets for the edges.
And they have even used shower curtains to create the paradise backdrops.
And he has had excellent reviews about the new addition.

He said: “Everyone is amazed and said it is like being abroad somewhere as it’s such a sun trap
“Myself and my helpers have worked so hard, and we now have people call to book specifically to sit outside.
“It’s a nice feeling to know I have done something right and given the customers what they want.”
His next addition to the coffee shop will be an alcohol license so he can turn the business into a bistro restaurant in the evenings.
