The event is put on by Roger Day, owner of Archway Events, who is no stranger to rubbing shoulders with City’s past stars.
The 62-year-old said: “My connection with Norwich players goes back years – to the 80s and 90s – having Bryan Gunn and Mark Bowen at my wedding.
“I’ve been doing events for 30 years, working with celebrities to help raise money for charities.
“This year we’ve got 24 teams each of the days.
“It’s going to be the biggest ever celebrity golf day, bar none – it’s going to be phenomenal.
“About 95pc of the event is done before the actual day, so at this point I’m just praying the waether is good over the two days.”
As well as former football players, there are also stars from rugby to cricket.
Companies arrive for the day and will have a star accompany them around the course as a captain.
There is also an evening meal where people can mix with the celebrities.

Roger added: “To have all the players mixing with people is great – it makes it a really intimate event.
“I’m really grateful to the guys who come here and take the time to play.
“The support has been fantastic from local companies too – it’s humbling they want to come and play in this event.
“We’ll be raising money for both Cancer Research and the Make A Wish Foundation, so two great causes.”
